- Interpret clinical and radiographic data to accurately diagnose pulpal and periapical conditions in molar teeth.
- Successfully manage at least 6 molar RCT cases within the program with increasing efficiency, precision, and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Demonstrate professional communication, documentation, and patient management skills, ensuring informed consent, trust, and post-treatment care.
- Design and perform effective access cavities and canal preparations in molar teeth using contemporary instrumentation and magnification.
- Perform simple retreatment cases, including removal of root filling materials and canal re-instrumentation.
- Implement complete molar RCT procedures, including cleaning, shaping, irrigation, and obturation.
- Assess the complexity of endodontic cases and make evidence-based decisions to treat or refer appropriately.
Knowledge:
• Explain the anatomical complexities of molar teeth relevant to endodontic treatment.
• Describe principles of endodontic diagnosis, access design, cleaning, shaping, irrigation, and obturation.
• Identify the causes of endodontic failures and outline strategies for prevention and management.
• Recognize the indications, limitations, and techniques of advanced tools (e.g., rotary systems, apex locators, CBCT).
• Evaluate treatment plans and make evidence-based decisions for molar endodontic cases.
• Identify the complexity of cases and refer complicated cases to the specialists.
Skills:
• Perform accurate pulpal and periapical diagnoses using clinical tests and radiographs.
• Prepare ideal access cavities in molars with proper isolation using rubber dam techniques.
• Locate canals and perform cleaning and shaping using hand and rotary instrumentation.
• Apply correct irrigation protocols using appropriate solutions and activation techniques.
• Execute obturation using various techniques, including warm vertical and lateral condensation.
• Manage simple retreatment cases.
• Document clinical cases comprehensively, including consent, diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcomes.
